Thumbs up Mitac Mio GPS Firware update

Hello all

I have just visited a Aussie site that has a gps firmware update posted for navman pin, (http://www.expansys.com.au/forumthre...072&thread=157) the link is to a forum so you can all read for yourselves and make your own minds up.

I had been having some problems getting sat lock for some time, I had just about had enough, so when i saw that the gps firmware could be updated I thought........... WHY NOT???!!!!

This I have done and have noticed a massive change, if I step out side my back door after TTN5 has been turned off the Mio 168 will have sat lock before I have time to get to the gps status screen.

PLEASE MAKE YOUR OWN MINDS UP THIS, FIRMWARE UPDATE COULD TRASH YOUR NAVMAN PIN I only tried this as a last resort but am very happy that I did.

Best Regards Richard

P.S Think before you drink and drive !!!!!!!!!! or do firmware updates

I wonder if a factory reset will remove firmware update if it does go pear shaped?

A factory reset will not remove a firmware update as it gets written the the PDAs ROM.
