draining battery 168

Hi,

Can anyone give me any clues please as to why my mitac 168 just seems to drain battery even when not on.

The time and date will use some power.

Make sure you stop any programs running in the background. Contacts etc.

But mainly, when you switch off, make sure you give the off button a quick prod. Hold it too long and it goes into 'sleep' mode. The screen is still on, although you can barely see it. If I don't use mine for a while I usually plug in weekly to ensure a full charge.

I was putting it in sleep mode without realising !! Doh !!!!!!!
