Default downloading photos

Hi, Please please help if you can. How can i download photos direct from my Canon 20d camera to my Mitac Mio A201? Two problems: first, can i get a lead to connect the two devices directly? Second, do I need to install software into the Mio to accept and read the photos? I am at a loss and can't seem to figure it out. Surely there must be a way. I want to be able to download and view the photos on the mio screen whilst out on a photographic trip rather than take along a laptop and all the other stuff. I am relying on all you clever people out there to come up with a solution. Thanks in advance!!
