request urgent help with mio 168 rs

hello,

me and my husband are currently in san francisco.

we own a mio 168rs pda which we use regularly in israel with destinator.

we have a big problem since we have to leave in a day and we need the gps navigation,
the problem is that after opening the destinator, it doesn't detect any satelites, did anyone who took a gps to the usa, encouter such a problem ?
(I opened destinator and waited for more then 30 minutes, but it didn't even recognize one satelite)

I also downloded Mapopolis and tried to have it get a lock,
But its the same.

any help would be gladly accepted
