Hello Can You Help Asap

Hi guy's i have just found this site and really need some help. I have just got my self a mio 168 and i can not get the gps on. HOW do i turn it on i have lifted the anntenea but nothing is going on. I hade a ACER N35 and when you lifted the anntenea a blue light came on so i dont no if it's ment to be the same with the 168.All so route 66 dont pick the gps up tomtom 5 dont pick it up. I dont have this screen. http://www.pocketgpsworld.com/reviews/mio168/gps1.jpg i only have ( SYSTEM ) ( SMART BATTERY ) ( WAKEUP ) so what you guy's think ?.

With the Mio168 you do need the aerial flipped up 90 degrees to the unit.

Start the GPS and configure to Other NMEA, Baud Rate 4800 on SP2,

Go outside and wait for a lock. First lock could take 20 minutes or more, I've seen some people say first lock took 45 minutes.

Future lock-ons will be faster, anything from a couple of minutes up to maybe 10 according to when you last used it.

Also, if your car has an athermic windscreen, make sure you stand outside the car until you have a lock before setting up inside.
