Mio 268 upgrade to MioMap 3

Mio 268 upgrade to MioMap 3

I have a Mio 268 running the heritage software and maps. The Mio website now offers a MioMap v3 upgrade, requiring a ROM upgrade followed by the MioMap install.

My Mio is on the original ROM flash - I assume it is OK to flash directly from the original to this new one, I don;t have to upgrade incrementally (ie go via interim stages)?

Has anyone done this on the 268? It looks like the new software offers a lot better capability. For £100 it looks like you get fairly modern software, albeit it on an older hardware (although it is robust!).
