Navman S70 - Routing?

I have the Navman S70 (but I guess it is the same on all S Series), how do I avoid a part of the route. For example when I had a TomTom I could choose to not go a road on my route and Tomtom would recalculate.

Is this possible on Navman?

If you ignore the instructions it gives you it will automatically recalculate your route.

You can also add an avoid area that covers the parts of the road you want to avoid.
