Default F20 (again)

Not withstanding my previous posting on faults with the F20 I noticed today that when I connected it to the T1 Traffic module and plugged the device into the cig.lighter I did not get the TMC icon in the bottom lefthand corner of the screen.
As this was a 2nd hand device when I bought it, with no instruction booklet, how do I get the T1 to work.

Thanks in advance.

Plug the power lead in to the small addaptor then apply the power directly to the T1 receiver rather than the F20.

If the above is what you have done give the contact pads on the T1 and the base of the F20 a clean - Mike

Cotton ear bud dipped in alcohol then wipe with a tissue, don't soak the device with it though. If you don't have alcohol available use Vodka - Mike

Thanks, I have some IPA, so would think that would be okay.
