Default HELP! constant "No GPS Data"message on new Navman PiN

regarding Navman Pin, I have a new unit and can't get the GPS to work at all. I get the "waiting for GPS" message and then "No GPS Data" message. I have installed and initialized the Smart ST V2 software - where have I gone wrong here? Is the unit defective?

I would love to hear from someone who can guide me to a solution as I am leaving for a road trip which I bought this unit to use on. Tech Support at Navman is non-existant.

Thanks

What settings have you selected in GPS Status?

There is absolutely no documentation as to any of the screens, particularly that one.

Do I check the GPS box?
Do I set Com 1, 2, 3, 4 or 9?
What baud rate setting?
What is that red ball and blue arc?

Sorry, I just don't have ANY info to make this work, any help would be greatly appreciated. I have my region maps loaded into the SD memory card. It doesn't seem to matter what I set any of these Com or Bauds to, It ALWAYS reads NO GPS DATA.

Also, how do you get rid of the legal notice nag screen?

Thanks

OK, finally figured it out, Com 2 at 4800 baud. Why oh Why don't they do this at the factory or better still, print it out on paper for one to know??????

Still can't get the SanDisk WiFi SD card to work, but will persevere.

Thanks for the tip Charlie.

They don't set it up at the factory as it could be sitting on a shelf for anything up to 6 months before it gets sold, so the settings would be lost as the battery drains. BTW they do put a leaflet in the PIN box telling you what the settings are
Good luck with the Wifi card.
