Ipac 3870 & Navman SSTv3 & 4420 Help!!

Afternoon Total Pda Helpers!

I have a bit of a problem:-

Purchased a 3870
Purchased Navman Smart STv3 Software With A 4420 GSp Reciever

I can Load the Smart ST Software to my 3870 but when it comes to activating my software the Navman software does'nt want / seem to be able to connect to my Ipac??

Activesync is running fine..
??

Any help would be greatly appreciated..

Welcome to our forums.
Do you have any anti-virus or firewall software running as this may interfere with the connection.

Hi Charlie,

Have turned the firewall off, No Antivirus.

But when i load the Smart St Software when connecting to the pda it says:-

Unable to read device ID from the device

Error code: 0

???

Contact Navman on 01293 780 500 for advice.

Hello.

Have you activated the software with Navman on their site?
If the software was activated before with another Pda,that may be your problem.Once activated with a paticular pda it will only work with that pda.If you want to use it with a different Pda or your Pda was repaired you will have to contact Navman.
