Default Ipaq 3630 & navman 3450 & ppc 2000

To update my own post. Just bought a navman 3450 ....Works brilliantly (tried it in my car...the navman 3450 comes with everything you need..including windscreen mount & charger & software)....& works with ppc 2000 on a ipaq 3630 ( a new lease of life for my old PDA)...now I've caught the GPS bug.....what did I ever do without it.

I also bought a new 'long life' battery for the ipaq which is probably enough for most trips ( After 1.5 hours the battery was still showing 80% ).

Do you use the GPS outside of the car? is that why you needed the extra battery life. Its good to see that is another GPS fan out there, paper maps are so boring and i have got to admit GPS stops allot of arguing with my copilot :-)

No I don't use the GPS outside of the car. But I needed a new battery anyway, since I hadn't used the ipaq for many many months and when I tried charging it...it was dead & wouldn't hold the charge. So I bought the long life battery. Also the car I currently has had the ciggy socket disabled ( by a previous owner ). Anyway the less cables the better I say....

Having used the navman for a few days now.....It works well....I wish POIs could be added to smartst pro. Can't really justify spending another £120 odd pounds just to get smartst 2.0 or tom tom 3. Can anyone tell me if tom tom 2/3 works with ppc 2000 ?

Some guy on ebay is advertising that you can buy tom tom for £25 but he will sell you the info for where you can get this...I find that objectionable
