Angry "Default IME" Error Smart st v2

My smart st v2 for GPS4410 keeps crashing.

About 1 in every 20 times I start it on my IPAQ 2210 (PPC 2003 all sofware updates loaded), it fails to load and displays the message "No Title" and then if I try to start it again, "Default IME". The only way to resolve the problem is via a hard reset - very frustrating.

Anyone else had this problem? Is there a fix?

Charlie,

No, but it seems Navman is aware of this problem - see attached e-mail from their support team. Is anyone aware of the ROM problem they refer to - seems a bit spurious to me......

Dear Sir

Unfortuantly HP released a new ROM which does not work correctly, this
includes an incorrect version of bluetooth 1.4 which needs to be
replaced by 1.5 (HP are working on a fix)

If you need further assistance, please do not hesitate to contact us,
we'll be more than happy to help.

Kind regards,
Ryan Hook

I have exactly the same error with Co-Pilot on my Ipaq: about 1 in 20 times the icon name changes to 'Default IME' and a hard reboot and reload is the only option. THe rest of the PDA system is OK its just Co-Pilot which has to be reloaded.
Anyone have any ideas why this happens?
