Unhappy Icn520 broken L.C.D Screen!

Hi all.
Dropped my Navman the other Day and the L.C.D display is shot. I have phoned Navman who want £129 to repair it as the screen is not covered by warranty! (it's 7 months old).
Does anyone here know of if the L.C D can be D.I.Y replaced or a cheaper repair shop!!??. The 520 is available new now for not much more than the £129 Navman quoted me for repair!.
Any help/advice muchos appreciated!
Cheers all,
Nick.

Why not claim on your house insurance?

Not with £100 excess and loss of my no claims which means more money for the policy next year.

I managed to source a new screen and fitted it myself for a total of £60 anyways.

Cheers,
Nick
