Default Navman F20

Hey there all,

I was wondering if anyone can help me ...
Does anyone know where i can download the software for the Navman F20 to add points of interest etc. onto the device?
Ive looked on the Navman website and there isnt even any infomation listed on software to buy or download (and its not in the box though ive not got it yet ...).
Also does anyone have a picture of the USB cable that it would need? I only ask as i have a few different sorts floating around for camera's etc. and wondered if i had one that may fit it as a USB cable also doesnt come with the Navman F20 ...

Thanks in advance if anyone can help me out!

Andy

Usb cables are easy fo come across, and are device/series specific. Try the main Total PDA site.

As for POI editing software, if you wish to manually enter POI using lat/long then try www.poiedit.com

This has the ability to import/export to any sat-nav format and also Google Earth - which you could use to input POI's by finding the address.

Ah excellent thank u - so if i found the right USB cable and plugged the Navman into my Mac it would be recognised then i can just drag the POI's ive made onto it can i?
I dont need any software to actually get the thing recognised by my Mac?

Cheers, Andy

Shouldn't do.

You need to check though that the software I linked to has a Mac version. Important info missed from your first post

Default Solutions

Hi Andy. The lead that connects the f20 to a p.c is a standard usb lead A to Mini B (5 pin).
You need the "Smart st" software from the navman store @ £9.99 plus p+p to communicate with it, ie poi, speed camera updates etc.
Just leaving it plugged in when you have no software simply recharges it as the icon will indicate.
hope this helps.

Hi all. New to the forum and have a question about the new software (Connectivity Kit).
I purchased it yesterday from the Navman site but can’t get it to communicate with my F20. The software installed fine but when I try to use it all I get is an error saying cannot connect, or not connected. I contacted Navman and they suggested installing M$ Activesync, did this still no joy. Has anyone else had this problem? I told Navman that I did not run XP SP2 and could this be the problem but they never mentioned it, I am wondering though if this is indeed the problem. Any help or advice would be much appreciated. Thanks in advance.
Cheers,
Darkside

Quick update.
Have now sorted the problem with help from an excellent customer support guy. After several emails he came up with the solution. No need to have M$ XP SP2 installed.
Also got a free speed camera update when I got connected so worth the £9.99 for the kit in the end!
