Default Orange 'premier' cust service & M2000 crashing

Just got off the phone with orange premier customer service..

Explained that I was having to soft reset my handset on a daily basis as it was freezing at random times (more generally when I was making or receiving a call).

Informed by them that as todays phones are more like computers I should be expected to reset it on a daily basis to avoid the freezing problems!!!!

The last time I reset my iBook was several weeks ago and that was only because I'd installed some updates.

Is it too long since I've used a microsoft operating system or is it just me who thinks this is unacceptable? Am I just being too cynical or could the M2000 be causing such problems for orange that they've instructed their cust service staff to fob customers off with crappy excuses to avoid having to replace handsets?

Has anybody experienced the same on an M500. Think I may demand a replacement. If it is indeed the pocket pc software then I'd imagine the M500 would have the same problems...

I wouldn't say it is expected for you to reset every day but it can be necessary sometimes. The usual cause is because there are too many programs running on the device and using up all the avaiable memory. The best thing is to monitor what programs you have running by tapping on START --> SETTINGS --> SYSTEM --> MEMORY --> RUNNING PROGRAMs. From there you can manage your programs as required.

Default Blue Tooth Problems

We have some M2000 as work phones and had one replaced because of the problems you mention. It still was the same with the new phone and in the end I put it own to incompatible BT head set, the Jabra 250v was no good and we were recommended the Orange G2 which is the same a Bluetrek G2. Its now much better and ocationally hangs, especially after synching it with a PC. Overall now OK to use. I have a M500 and is happy with it, seems to run better but has no Wi-Fi,
