M2000 and the internet

Is it possible to connect the M2000 to a pc via the sync cable and browse the internet on you phone using the compters internet connection?

If so what are the setting on the phone for this?

I have managed this with the M1000 using the bluetooth setting so don't see why it won't work using the sync lead. We found that you have to start active sync and then internet explorer before it will access the internet this way.
