Default m500/wmp9 film sound issue

I've messed around from one forum to another for a fortnight until finally upgrading my m500 to the point where i can get it to stream audio to my BT headset, and it's ok.

however, i play a film in windows media player (9?) and the audio reverts to the speaker.

does anyone know if this is a known issue with wmp and whether there is a fix?

if not - can anyone recommend an alternative media player that doesn't suffer from the problem (as i have no problem with never using WMP again!)?

Cheers

actually, i'd just like to use another player now, as I hate having to rely on wmp with all its licensing issues!

any advice?
