Post Software to update time on an SPV M1000 and M2000

I use both SPV M1000 and M2000 at work everyday and I find that when ever I do a hard reset the time and date go to 00.00 - 01/01/2004.

Is there any software I can use to update the time and date after a reset. Or something I can encorporate into a Flash card so it will be correct all the time?

Why are you doing hard resets so often?

Or do you actually mean soft reset?

If you are indeed doing hard resets, then this is why the device returns to factory defaults. there would be no reall way of keeping any applications on the device to sort setting issues out.

The Company i work for is a Market research company and we have about 300 PDA's with people all over the country. I run a helpline and would be one of the main points of contact for all our PDA activities.

All the questionnaires are done on the PDA then saved to the SD card. At the end of the shift the work is sent back using an FTP connection. The software we to send the work back was designed by us and old so people often have problems. One of the best ways around this is to perform a hard reset so it re-installs the software with all the work is on the SD card so nothing is lost. But now we are ungrading all the PDA's to a newer version of the software and it will be alot easier if people are having trouble we can identify when specific data file were created. But at the moment they say 2004.

Also this newer version records all the connections made to us so it would be easier to solve problems by looking at connection. But if we can't see what was done when we can't.

Plus when we get the PDA's in we flash them so they install what we want when doing a hard reset.

On our hard reset it installs our software and removes some program to limit what people can do.
