T3, T5 and TomTom

If I buy a new T5, will I be able to use the TomTom software I already have for my T3? Can I do this just by tranferring the memory card?

TT3 wasn't compatible with the T5. TT5 is compatible though.

I am in the process of upgrading the TT3 to TT5, and am waiting for the disks. Will I be able to transfer this to a T5? If so, do I do this by transferring the memory card? Will I also still be able to use it on my old T3? Many thanks

I can't say if you will or not as we do not use the upgrade here so I'm unfamiliar with how it works when upgrading from TT3.
