Palm T|X & video/Pocket Tunes probs!

Non-technical user.
Migrated from Psion Revo to Palm IIIxe -Tungesten E to latest T|X.
Already impressed, but can't do what I suspect are two simple things!
1. How do I transfer my music copied onto my PC's Media Player to my Palm?
2. How do I transfer any vidoeo/DVD to the Palm?
I am NON technical and need talking thru this step-by-step. Sorry for the ignorance.
I use a Sony M1 Vaio desktop PC (great fun and can record onto Hard Disk from the TV) - can I download the recorded TV programmes onto my Palm?
Would appreciate any sympathtic user's help.
