Announcing an alliance you thought you'd never see—Palm and Windows Mobile 5.0

Now you don't have to choose—you can get the best from two pioneers in mobile devices, in addition to a high-speed network from Verizon.

The new Treo, available in early 2006, offers Broadband Access, a QWERTY keyboard, and familiar Outlook Mobile applications for easy e-mail access.

I for one will be disappointed to see Palm migrate over to Windows .

As a MacIntosh user I have always stuck with Palm devices because they integrate very well with Macs ; and I have avoided Windows and Microsoft based software because all my friends who use these products always seem to be having problems , crashes , viruses etc.

My Mac just works - and I want to keep it that way !

Windows ? No thanks !

Yeah thats the main reason I have ordered a palm is because it's windoze and Mac and I use both frequently. So in the future when I would need to upgrade it will be a shame that it's unlikely I'll go for a palm if they go over to windows only.

And over the years I lean more and more over to using Macs only, so this just seems like a step back to me...

Win mobile 5 copied all the best features from palm OS although I'm not sure whats going to happen with Mac compatibilty.
