Help! PalmTX and PalmOne GPS navigation problem

I would really appreciate anyones help in this. I have just purchased the TX bundled with the PalmOne/Tomtom plug and go navigation system which works via bluetooth.
I cannot get the palm to pick up a signal from the GPS navigator.
I found a similar thread on this forum and followed all the advice and it hasnt worked

Both the Tx and the GPS are fully charged, bluetooth is turned on and left the palm to try and recognise the signal for 4 hours-and still nothing.

I emailed tomtom and they said that the tomtom was not compatible with the TX!!!!!!!! even though the bundle box has both palm and tomtom logos on.

Am i being stupid and missing something obvious??

I assume they mean that you can use it with some Palms, just not the TX.

Hi - it might have been my thread you were looking at. I was also told by Tomtom that it wouldn't work with the TX but one of the guys at www.totalpda.co.uk suggested I did a soft reset and that worked. Having said that, I have had a few more teething problems with the GPS but I haven't yet ruled out user-error... Try the soft reset and see if that at least gets the two bits talking to each other.
