Palm dvd ripper player

I am relatively new to palm , could any body tell me if there is a software or freeware , that i can copy a dvd onto my computer and play it on my palm . also does the new 4 gig lifedrive have this facility built into the machine

I'm assuming you are using a Windows computer. First, I use the inexpensive MM Player ($18) for my Palm Life Drive to play audio and videos. It has a nice graphic equalizer.

For DVD ripping and conversion for the Palm, I use freeware to rip the DVD to my hard drive. DVDFab Decrypter will work just fine. I use DivX Converter (part of the DivX pro package $20) to convert the ripped files to DivX. Set the converter for handheld. When the conversion is complete, change the extension from .divx to .avi
