Palm TX Gmail problem

Hello all,

I am new to the TX and PDA's in general so forgive my possible ignorance but i am looking for some urgent help.

I am trying to set up my gmail and also .mac accounts on the Palm with little luck.

I have setup the gmail account (having to pick gmail (US) even though i am in the UK. The thing is i seem to be able to SEND emails from it but when i try to collect them it says connecting then closing straight away and no emails are pickup.

Also with the .mac account i can receive mails but cant send out!

Sorry if this is vague i can supply more info if anyone needs any.

Please help!

I am using versamail version 3.5.
Is there just another program i can use that is easier?
