I have a Palm Handspring and every time I power on, I have to re-set the digitizer because the screen touch buttons don't align with the stylus.

Any suggestions to fix this?

Why is it doing this?

Have you checked Handsprings site to see if there are any updates available for it? Is it still oin warranty, if so have it checked by Handspring.
