Default Re-Sync problem

I need some help.

I have a Zire 72 and had a major crash. The PDA completely re-set itself back to factory settings.

I have a backup on my laptop - but can't get the PDA to sync either via bluetooth or via the usb cable.

Some advice would be really useful.

Kev

Most devices need the time and date set correctly, and to be named exactly as before (ie if you changed it to "Kev's Zire 72" must be set to exactly that).

Then when it connects via active sync, stop the sync. THEN, use the restore option.

Ok - I suspect that could be the problem. I can't flippin remember exactly what I called the device.

Open Active syns without the device connected, and you should see a list of names under "connect to..." in the drop down menus
