PiN 570 and Smart ST Problems

I have a couple of questions that i have been trying to sort out for the past two days and getting nowhere hope somone can plz help.

The first is how/where do i change the sound setting for the speedcamera warnings? At the moment there is an alarm sound.. I have the sounds database in .wav format but cannot see where or how to associate the sounds with the poi.

The second is .. Smart ST on my PC Desktop is only showing the uk in a "coloured blob", no roads, no nothing.. is this correct? I would have thought I was supposed to have the maps and things come up on the screen on my PC.. What have I done wrong? and how do I get the maps/roads/poi's to appear i am sure i followed the instructions properly..
