Losing all my POI info!!

Is there a way to run my poi data from the memory card?

at the moment i keep losing my cameras and poi info each time the battery runs dead.

hopefully someone can tell me a way to save and run poi from my memory card..or even back them up (so i can just drag and drop the poi camera data back onto the pda if i lose battery)
