Default Upgrade or Complete change or status quo?

Have the Navman 3450 and Ipaq 3800 (0r vice versa?!!) and use it mainly for:

GPS - hill walking etc (with Memory Map OS maps) so sleeve makes it kinda bulky but still portable... also the Navman ST software for route planning - Europe mainly....

Try to use Word with collapsible keyboard (that keeps acting up even after software downoad - hassle).... a bit of Excel.... some MP3 files... not managed to get the Internet up and running via IR port or specially bought cable + software so gave up on that! Use some sort of Access but that version doesn;t keep relationships etc...

Would like to replace with another which is faster and more adaptable - ideally can still (?) use the same Navman sleeve and so software still compatible but one which I can use Internet (and set it up properly! Not got a bluetooth phone or gprs one so maybe need to?) - do they do any with USB adaptors so I can take small external HD with me with all my movies when we're camping or in Europe? Save me taking my laptop all the time?!

Do like look of the Ipaq 5555 (??) one but it probably will need a new sleeve and not work with the Navman one?

Any suggestions?

5550 is maybe a bit too much IMO. I would recommend a second hand H3970...has a 400MHZ CPU and Bluetooth built in. It wont take USB HDDs though (dont think any PDAs do) but can take up to 1GB SD card and should work flawlessly with your Navman sleeve. We sometimes get refurbished stock in if you keep an eye on http://www.totalpda.co.uk/section317.aspx but we dont have any right now. Check ebay.

Cheers for that.... It is pretty OTT isn't it but I can't help myself! I splashed out in the end on a refurbished 5550 and the HP sleeve package and should get it tomorrow Be prepared for lots of questions!!
