dont understand .prc extension

Hi,

new to the PDA world, but jus got myself a Medion Pocket PC. Started downloading software from my laptop and transfering it to my pda. However, most software come with a .prc extension as opposed to .exe which i was expecting. How do i go about running such software? I am running Windows CE on my PDA. any help would be much appreciated. thanks

main prc software is for palm os as exe is for pocketpc

Newbie here....can tell me how to install the exe in my XDA I ???
can i send the *.exe (via IrDA) into my XDA and then run in my XDA to install it?

What file are you trying to install to you PDA, normally you will find that everything gets installed via the PC and transfered to your PDA using the activesync program.
