I am having a similar problem. Both the phone and Ipaq find each other but then whenever I try and pair them it fails with the following warning - "pairing failed due to security reasons".

Anybody have any ideas???????????

I have downloaded this patch and still cannot get them to pair - exact same symptoms. I read on another forum that it is impossible to get the two to pair, apparently nokia blame hp and vice versa!

They seem to pair OK, what patch did you get?

Hi - the patch at http://h18007.www1.hp.com/support/fi...oad/21093.html
did the trick for me if that helps anyone (well once I realised that I then had to execute the .exe that this file then generates)
Soft Reset required afterwards too.

Can now connect to Internet for all of about 15 seconds before it disconnects usually. But that'll be phone related probably.

Update to the Ipaq 2210 and Nokia 6230 compatibility issue - two hours with O2's data support team (very helpful they are I find) has resulted in the agreement that -
A 2210 connecting to the Intenet using a 6230 as a modem, where the phone is running v4.28 of it's software, and the PDA using PPC (Windows Mobile) 2003, definitely has some sort of bluetooth connectivity incompatibility. O2 are taking this up actively with Nokia.
This all assumes the Ipaq already has the patch installed. There is more than one reported case apparently.

Martin.
