Question TCP/IP Probs ...

I have been using my 2210 with a PC which is NOT connected to the net & ActiveSync installed & ran fine with no problems
My PC which has the net connection (NTL BBand) will not let me install ActiveSync & keeps coming up with the error that TCP/IP needs to be installed for ActiveSync to work etc
As far as I can see TCP/IP is installed!
I searched the forum for some previous posts on ActiveSync & read one which suggested downloading the latest ActiveSync from Microsoft (which I did) but when I try to install this I get the same error & can get ActiveSync installed
Any suggestions ... Paul

You can try installing Activesync whilst in safe mode....I've heard that gets around the problem.

Stevie - thanks but I've sussed it now after some digging around on the MS Knowledgebase - it was my Firewall (McAfee) and once I turned it off the ActiveSync installed OK & I turned my Firewall back on ... Paul
