Problem With i-mate jam

Hi,
I have turned off my i-mate jam and when i want to turn on the phone
no thing happen's and phone doe's not turn on. when i connect charger cable to phone no thing happen's and when i open back door of i-mate the red ligh appear. i guess this is a problem with battery! is that true?
please help me.
