Question Is it possible to make phone calls using a pda? CF card?

I’m thinking of buying an asus MyPal A620 Bluetooth™ PDA (PD-001-AS)

from http://www.overclockers.co.uk/acatalog/PDAs.html

However is it possible to get a phone CF card that lets me make phone calls on a pda? The model above has a type 2 CF slot.

Is this just wishful thinking or does a card exist or am I going to have to buy an XDA 2 if I want that sort of functionality?

Secondly I am also confused about the type 1 and type 2 CF cards. Am I right in saying a type 2 CF slot is just two type 1 CF slots? If so can I buy a type 1 CF card and put it in the type 2 slot?

Welcome to our forums.
You can get a Pretec GPRS card @ http://www.totalpda.co.uk/Pretec-Com...S-CF-Card.aspx .

A type 1 card will fit a type 2 slot but not the other way around.

I'm a little confused about the difference betwen GPRS and GSM. I Read that all the major UK phone networks use GSM and i thought that GPRS was just for internet access and not for making phone calls. If i bought the GPRS card would i be able to sign up to a phone network such as O2 or Orange using the GPRS card and and make voice calls or is there a GSM card i would have to use?

Thanks In Advance
