Handwritten Signatures

hi all, hope somebody can advise me re the following..

i have downloaded my company's time sheets onto my pda
via excel typed in everybodys name hours worked etc,
but of course the client has to sign it.

have tried to capture my signature (as a test) via both notepad and word as a drawing and inserting it into the cell alongside the signature..... statement, after setting the cell to 'general' but absolutely nothing happens. can any boffin help me please.
