Question Typhoon . . . ??

Hi, I'm a newbie on here and also very new to the PDA scene.

I've trailed t'internet trying to find info on the 'Typhoon My Guide 3500 Mobile' but to no avail. I've seen a few in Germany priced at around 300 euros, but other than that, I have no idea what-so-ever about Pocket PC's.

Any info is much appreciated . . .

Welcome to our forums.
I'm afraid you're going to have to learn German if you want info on this model as all I can find is german sites.

Thanks mate - That was the problem I had too . . . !!

I know nothing about the specs of these things in relation to how good they are, but this one states the following:

300 MHz Intel PXA 255 processor
32 MB Flash-ROM and 64 MB RAM
Windows mobile 2003
Display: 16 bit TFT 240x320 pixels
Lithiun Polymer 1350 mAH battery
Integrated GPS-ANtenne
SD/MMC Connector

Plus it has 'Faulk Navigator 2004' included.

Although this may sound a silly question: With the above spec, what is capable of this little machine . . . ??

I have it in front of me and everything that should be in there appears to be included.

Sounds as good as any of the mid-priced PDAs. Should do just about anything you need.

Hi - After some research, I've found out that it is basically a 'Mitac Mio 168' but although it is an original UK model, it was marketed over here by the German division of the company which call itself 'Typhoon'.

Is the Mitac Mio 168 a decent PDA . . . ?? To be honset, I really dont need a PDA right now, so I might sell it - Any ideas on a decent price to offer it at, bearing in mind it's 100% new and boxed etc . . . ??

I'm assured that it has Word/Excel, all the usual stuff etc, plus SatNav software all included.

They are £199 @ http://www.totalpda.co.uk/Mitac-Mio-...Pocket-PC.aspx so I guess a good bit lower than that.

Lightbulb Typhoon Falk Satellite Navigator My Guide 3500

One more thing, if I may add is that this PDA is probably the only one that has integrated GPS, so you you would save some money as well. If go for IPAQ you would have to buy seperate GPS or you purchase the whole set for more...
Very recomended (Typhoon) and that is correct it is German version of Mitac 168 GPS PDA

mack I have linked to the Mitac Mio in my previous post. You will find a lot of obscure companies coming out now with their own "brand" of PDA which is just a rebranded Mitac Mio.
