Default Dell Axim x30 or HP IPAQ 1940?

Not sure which one to get out of these two models. I am tempted by the Ipaq as it has a longer battery life. Need some advice urgently- got an Ipaq on hold till tommorrow and am about to cancel my dell axim order as it has been 4 weeks and still no delivery.

Personally, I would get the IPAQ, because i have a 1910 and it is great. You can access the internet free, and it has long battery life and is just overall a great machine. SO if anything, go for the 1940.

why....although the dell has a worse battey life the axim x30 has better graphics, better cpu speed and you can have a landscape format on the screen. The only thing I want my PDA for is MS Word, powerpoint, excel and viewing pictures. I know the Ipaq 1940 has a good reputation, but just curious about the other options. Anyways if I have not heard from dell by monday, then I will order my ipaq.

DAmn it! Dell suck so bad....they promised 5 days delivery- it will be 4 weeks by the end of next week. They were supposed to deliver 3 times and the 1st time whilst waiting in the whole evening, apparently they forgot the second box- so the order was incomplete and therefore they couldn't deliver. The second time- they couldn't deliver because they had 'lost' the package- an investigation was being launched. The third time I don't remeber what the excuse was.
I have spoken to 8 dell customer service representatives- with each one promising to ring me back to tell me the situation with the delivery company- they really suck. I am now thinking of suing them for non delivery of product- they have taken my money (I ordered it on switch).

Please Charlie- send the word out that Dell has attrocious customer service and support. I think people would think twice then before wasting their time waiting for a deliver that might not even arrive. i have also heard similar stories about dell from other people too. It's just not worth it, even with their proposed '25% sale'.

With all respect spirited we can't give bad feedback on them for one case. I understand youmay be frustrated at not receiving your goods when you were told you would but we are not in the business of warning people not to buy a particular brand. If I were in your shoes I would simply cancel my order with DELL and order elsewhere. I'm sure they would be interested to hear you reasoning for cancelling your order and if they are any good in their customer services department will be able to make ammends for the poor service you have received.
