Question iPaq hx4700 - "screensaver" mode

OK, this is probably a dumb question, but this is my first experience of PDA's so ...

When I put the hx4700 in the cradle, after it synchronises I get the "today" page.

After a few minutes, I get the time and calendar with a picture from my "My Pictures" folder behind it changing every 15 seconds.

That's cool, but when I'm using it in conjunction with my Navman 4410 on for example a motorway when nothing's really happening GPS-wise for a while, the PDA goes into this "screensaver" mode and I have to tap the screen to revert to navigation. And that's a real PITA.

How do I sort this out?

When the screensaver activates tap and hold on the screen to bring up the options to diable and configure.

When the today screen comes up hold your stylus on it and up will come a menu. Disable the auto part

I've just got a 4700 today to replace my fried (don't ask) 5450, I liked the screensaver pictures but now I've lost them. When I resynced with laptop it asked if I wanted to replace files on device so as I was setting up the new pda to replace the old one I said yes, silly. Now I can't get the pictures back. HP say it's a hard ware prob & it should return to base. but its to small a prob to be without it. Anyone had this problem & know how to put pictures back?
Clue is screensaver now says "no bitmaps found"

This is my first post on here so please be gentle.

I have now found out that this software is called DOCKWARE, I have tried all the things on their site but to no avail even downloading free version. So I have emailed them for help. The following is a link to their Tech support that may help others solve a problem or you may find it interesting.

Hi, I'm a newbie to the world of PDA's. So glad to have found this forum as I've been trying to stop this screensaver popping up (with no luck) so thanks for the tip.
