How to delete extra program icons?

I installed PocketPC Expense software and found two almost identical icons, rather than the expected single one; except one had (2) after the title.
Both opened the program in the same way.
This second one was not visible either on the PC or the XDAII installed program lists.
Deletion and reinstall made no difference. Both remained.
After deletion the (2) did not work.
Any ideas PDA people, of how to delete this offending duplicate icon please?

Welcome to our forums.
You should be able to find the icons in the PROGRAM FILES or WINDOWS folder on the iPAQ.
