Default PDA Choice....?

Hi,

Just selling my dilapilated Jornada 720, and looking for something to upgrade, guess there isn't any more clam-shells designs anymore, but am looking at three PDA's, they are HP4700, Dell Axim X50v and the Fujitsu Loox 720, just looking for opinions and suggestions. Am looking for a PDA with WiFi and Bluetooth with both SD and CF card readers (SDIO preferrably) and size would be a factor, smaller and lighter the better.

Many thanks in Advance for your replies!

Have a look at the new 24XX & 27XX series iPAQs. They do what your looking for as well and are a reasonable size.

Charlie, how much difference does the whole VGA/QVGA thing make? Of those mentioned by jake blue, the X50v has a VGA screen which would appear to put it head and shoulders above everything else at the moment, including the new Ipaq 24xx and 27xx models.

Vormulac.

It's only a visual benefit if you use applications that take advantage of the higher resolution. At the moment there aren't that many apps that do so it would come down to personal preference.

Thanks Charlie, more choices. Just one thing, the CF slot, is that integrated into the models like the 2750.... and they seem only to be Type II compatible, will they be able to read Type I?? Aren't type I thinner therefore a Type II card reader can read them, accomodating both the larger and smaller cards??

Sorry to ask specific questions but HP and others speal isn't exactly straightforward, even for someone as technical as myself. On some Data from their sales splurge they don't even mention CF as if SD is the only format availible then they only mention Type II CF cards. Now most Type II CF devices I know are backward compatible to Type I, but you try a Type II CF card in a Type I slot and due to the extra thickness it won't fit, but you would have thought they all would be backwards from Type II???

To clarify:
Type II sockets will accept Type I cards.
The HP 2XXX seris PDAs include both CF and SD slots.
