RX3715 Shut down??

Hi there
I think that Im probably being a bit thick here but I need to ask you guys a question!! When I press the on/off button on my RX3715 the computer goes off (ie. black screen) but it doesnt shut down like a normal computer. Same goes when I click the on/off button to turn it back on the screen goes straight to the 'today' page without booting up! Is this normal? I have a windows smart phone and that boots up and shuts down like a normal pc/laptop so I presumed the pda would be the same?
This is my first pda and Im a bit new to all this so I think you will be seeing a lot of me around here!!!

Kie you can’t physically turn a PDA off, they go into hibernate mode to conserve battery power. What I do is run itask to see what applications I have running and close them off before I hit the power button.
