Question iPaq Advice

I am soon to start a sales job and want to purchase a PDA with TomTom 3 (with a GPS unit + car kit) as I will be doing a fair amount of travelling.

Although the SatNav will be one of the main features, I will also use it for keeping track of my appointments, playing a few games, browsing the internet, listening to mp3's and playing some movies if possible.

The most important thing to me is a high quality screen!

So, i'm after your recomendations really.

I have been looking at the iPaq 4150 and 5550, both of which get good reviews.

Thanks for any help.

I have a 4150 and although it is now a old model you will find it had to beat for all the things you want it for. I would recomend it

Welcome to our forums amxor.
The 4150 and 5550 are both good PDAs but if a high quality screen is the important factor then you should maybe be looking at the new hx4700 model from HP which includes a VGA resolution screen.

Thank you for your reply, but i notice that the iPAQ HX4700 has a touchpad instead of a standard D-Pad on the front of the machine. I can't see this being particularly practical for moderate gaming.
Is there another iPAQ model with a VGA resolution screen, or perhaps another PDA (from another company) that offers the same features and is compatible with TOMTOM Navigator 3?
I hear good things of the Asus MyPal 730/760 (if that is the correct model number)

I'm not familiar with the Asus units. The DELL Axim x50v has similar specification.

I have looked at the Dell Axim and the price has recently been reduced offering a saving of over a £130.00 over the price of the HX4700 on your site, so i'm afraid i have purchased a unit from dell directly (with a free TV tuner which is nice).
However, i am still looking at getting the navigator 3 software with a gps receiver and car kit, but i can't find it on your site.
Do you sell the Navigator 3 / Car Kit / GPS receiver bundle, if so can you provide me the link.
Would you recommend a wire based system or bluetooth...

Thanks for your input.

There isn't a bundle like that. Look @ ttp://www.totalpda.co.uk/xgps.aspx?section=474
There isn't a dedicated car kit for the DELL.
Get Bluetooth, there isn't a cable for the x50V yet.
