Default POI warner

HI ...again. I was thinking of paying, and down loading all the UK speed camera data from the poihandler/warner site. But before I do, can somebody please explain to me the reason for the numerous speeds that are shown....Mobiles go from 30 uo to 130 (? MPH? )...same with redlights and 'speeds'. What on earth do they all mean ? Do I download the lot or do I need to be selective...thanks.

I've never used POIHandler or Warner so I'm not sure why all the speeds. I'd recommend you get Checkpoint from http://checkpoint.oabsoftware.nl/ and the Safety Camera Database (for FREE) from http://www.pocketgpsworld.co.uk/uksafetycameras.php .

You can use checkpoint with the checkpoint sync function to access the camera data base which is user supported and updated.

the reason that some sites list speed groups above 70 is to maintain compatibility with european POI's which are in kmh.

i couldn't get checkpoint to work so i've paid and downloaded poi-warner - it's a very slick product, easy to download and the support is good

i've no idea what they all mean either so i just down-loaded them all and it works just fine - syncs in a only a minute or two as well - they're moving cameras around on the M60 and it sems to stay reasonably up to date too
