Default Which PDA????

I am looking to buy a PDA with a view to using it for sat nav. I have the tomtom3 navigator software but am very confused as to which PDA I need to buy for it to work. Will it work with any PDA or do I have to get one of the ones listed on the back of the software box?? I have seen the tomtom software in a kit together with the HP Ipaq 1710 but this PDA is not listed on the back of my box????? Also, I am looking to get a Bluetooth GPS receiver so do I have to buy a PDA with Bluetooth or can I just get a Bluetooth card????

Any advice much appreciated.

Welcome to our forums.
For best results stick to one listed on the box or those listed in the compatiblity list on TomToms website.
The 1710 is not listed as it uses a different version of the software.
It would be easier to get a PDA that has Bluetooth built in. If you rely on a Bluetooth card then you would need a PDA that has two memory card slots so you can have the Bluetooth card in one and a memory card to store you maps in the other.

Thanks very much for the reply.
That's made it alot clearer thanks. Don't suppose you have any recommendations as to a good PDA to buy possibly with 2 SD slots? Don't really want to spend more than about £200.

Many Thanks

There are none that I am aware of that have two SD slots. You can get models like the iPAQ 2xxx series which have one SD and one CF though.
