resets on ipaq 1940

Hi people,
I have an ipaq hp1940. Have had for a little while now. I may sound stupid here, but how do i do a soft and full reset...(Without taking the battery off, throwing it around the house and letting the dog chew it for 20 minutes...)

Any help would be appreciated..

soft reset by pressing the button on the lower left hand side, to do a full reset press the same button but also at the same time hold down the on /off button,note use your pointer to do both resets
