Cool Advice on a new PDA

Hi,
I am looking to buy my first PDA. I know what spec I want but dont know how good the PDA's that meet them are. I would like advice from anyone that can shed some light on which is best and for what reason.
This is what I am after;
400MHZ
64 RAM/ROM (will be buying a 256 mb stick probably)
Bluetooth/WLAN
MP3 Playback
Voice Recording
Cradle
MUST WORK ON 110v AS WELL AS 240v (Im sure this will be generic though)

I deally with a budget of around £350...but I'll pay more for the right one.

Think I have short listed the Dell X3i and a coulple of iPaqs. Though if there is anything I am missing...let me know
Surprisingly, I've found generally more negative responses on the net to the HP/Compaqs.....just dont really like the look of the dell, actually I prefer the look of the old Dell X5.

Thought you guys might offer better reasons/suggestions as to the pros & cons..!!

Thanks in advance for your help

Talking GPS too

...by the way the Dell comes to £352 with all except the Bluetooth (inc the 256mb stick).

Also, can anyone suggest the best Nav software, (tomtom, navman etc...) to go with it?

Thanks muchly!!

Have you looked at the Ipaq 4150.. WLAN/BT integrated in the slimmest PDA by HP yet! Very Nice! Defo worth a look and would fit into ur budget - £295 + VAT!
The 4150 gives youa lot of option for GPS aswell.. Tomtom Wired ? Bluetooth or Navman 4400! Lots to choose from. Worth viewing the Demo's! My favourite is Tomtom due to extra features on the Software, but Navmans mapping is probably easier for finding places.
Good Luck!

I want a PDA purely for loading OS maps at 1;25,000 for Hillwalking and cycling.

I have a geko 101, cannot connect to PDAs/PCs
, yes I should have spent a bit more, and would use the two in combination.

Any ideas ????

Nicky,

I would recommend a HP IPAQ for downloading maps for hillwalking, I had one up until recently and used it for that purpose!

Would recommend also getting a waterproof cover as mine was damaged after walking in sunny scotland!
