Default Removing unwanted files from Ipaq H1910

Hi chaps

I copied over a number of MP3 files from my desktop PC to the PDA via Activesync. These files would NOT play in Windows Media Player and now cannot be deleted. The message displayed is:-

'Cannot delete the file ******.mp3. Access is denied. Make sure your mobile device has sufficient memory, that the file is not set as read only and that you have permission to copy this file'.

The properties of the file show that the attribute 'archive' is ticked (not read only), however, these cannot be changed.

I have tried to delete them via activesync from the pc, but get the same message on the PC. There is no additional memory installed, but other files can be deleted - it's just these two that are taking up dead space. They also cannot be moved or cut and pasted to another location (apart from on the same device).

Any help would be appreciated.

Many thanks

Shady

Are these files on the PDA or on a Storage card. Have you tired soft reseting your PDA, just incase a program is trying to access these files?

It's on the PDA (no storage card available). I have not tried resetting - is this the likely cause ?

Yeah i would recommend that you do a soft reset on your PDA, just tap the hole 3/4 the way down the left handside.
