Post Which Ipaq

Hi there, first post and brand new to Pocket PC's...

I think i have narrowed down to between the IPAQ RX3715 and the HX4700.

Both machines have their merits to me, so just looking for some advice from experienced users. Primarily I want the PDA for a calender, email on the go, bit of word and excel, playing some MP3's and watching the occassional movie if I am bored (man that Pocket DVD software is neat).

How much of an improvement is the extra resolution on the 4700? Will it make a great difference to watching movies as the price difference would get me a couple of Gig of SD for putting movies and stuff on.

Does the extra processor speed on the 4700 make much difference for my uses, or is the 3715 fast enough?

The camera on the 3715.... does it swivel out so you can use it for a video conference, or is it fixed pointing away from you? What is the resolution of the video like that you can capture?

Is the Hotmail via outlook problem just limited to certain IPAQ's, or all pocket PC's?

Are there any other non HP pocketpc's in the same price range that are comparible?

Thanks in advance

BigAir

Welcome to our forums.
For movies the extra resolution will only be a benefit if you encode higher quality movies with Pocket DVD. If you encode to the same quality as you would for the standard screen then it will look the same. You will notice the difference when viewing pictures for example.
The extra CPU speed is not something I can say I've noticed as they both perform very well.
The camera is of a fixed type so no video conferencing I'm afraid.
I believe the Hotmail issue is a problem for all iPAQs but I haven't paid much attention to this issue as I don't use Hotmail myself so I could be wrong.
I've always preffered the Compaq/HP models for quality and their support so I'd stick with them in my opinion.

Is the hx2410 worth throwing into the equation? I have one of these, I opted for this over the RX3715.

With regards to Hotmail, I access mine via http://mobile.msn.com/pocketpc
