Angry Bluetooth Manager has insufficient memory

Hi,
I've bought this week an iPAQ 1940 with Tomtom GPS. They recommend to use both together with an additioal memory card which was not delivered in time. I've installed Tomtom with the local map of my area. It worked and I started to play around with recording, Pocket Excel etc. Suddenly there was no Bluetooth symbol and I discovered the error message in the Bluetooth Manager:
The Bluetooth Radio failed to turn ON due to insufficient memory available. You must perform a normal reset before you can turn ON the bluetooth radio.
Anyone an idea how to solve this?

Cheers Oli

to perform a normal reset, do the following:

1) remove stylis from PDA
2) look at the side of the PDA for a small hole about 3/4 of the way down.
3) Push stylis into this hole to reset the PDA, the PDA screen should show the HP logo and a bar moving from left to right, if this si the case then it has been reset and all should work.

Thanks

Exclamation 2210 bluetooth failed

Similar problem to below. I have had a Tom Tom 3 bluetooth for the last week. While it is a little delicate and sometimes freezes on startup, when running it works well. However last night I found the bluetooth switched off.. I tried to switch it on and get the message “Bluetooth failed to initialise” plus when trying the bluetooth manager – “Bluetooth radio failed to turn ON due to insufficient memory ….” I have tried numerous soft and hard resets.

I am using a 256 MB CF card and plenty of free memory.
I am running no other applications (apart from the standard build) on the IPAQ.

Can anyone advise how to re initialise bluetooth on my 2210

A hard reset should solve the problem if not i would recommend that you check out the FAQ it has a link to updating the ROM on your IPAQ.

I have exactly the same problem. It seemed to start after the 2210 spontaneously did a hard reset. I have tried numerouse soft resets without success. After reading this forum I did a hard reset but have only succeded in loosing all my settings. I am still getting "insuficient driver memory - YOU MUST PERFORM A NORMAL RESET"!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Not a lot of use when I only bought it to go with a bluetooth gps.

Tony

Tony have you tried to update the ROM on your PDA, i have had that message before and a Hard Reset did solve the problem, if your still getting that message i would contact HP as it must be a hardware fault on your PDA.

Hi Stevie

A ROM update has just ended with a new look but the same situation - all setting lost and an " insuffient driver memory" message.

I bought from www.totalpda.co.uk a couple of months ago. Do I return it to you?

You should contact HP on 0870 842 2339 then select option 1, 3 and then 4 and speak to their support department. If the unit is faulty they will arrange to repair/replace it for you.
