Confirming which OS?

I checked to see which OS is on the ipaq 3950(just bought a used one). It states Pocket Pc V3.0.11171(Build 11178), Is this Pocket Pc 2002?
And also can it be upgraded to 2003 or leave it at 2002(whats the differences between the two)?

Welcome to our forums.
It is Pocket PC 2002 V3.0 and there should be an official upgrade to 2003. Not sure where you will get it from now though.
